How the Office Approaches Each Matter
First appointment — understand the situation
The office listens to what the family holds, what documents exist, and what their circumstances are. This determines which route applies and what the likely steps are.
Set out costs and timeline in writing
Before any work begins, the office provides a written breakdown of its fees and the court or registry charges expected. The timeline is described with active steps and waiting periods separated.
Handle the matter with regular updates
The office manages all correspondence with the court and registry, keeps the family informed at each stage, and produces written summaries suitable for sharing with other family members.
Service 01
Grant of Probate & Letters of Administration
Preparation and filing of the application for a grant where there is a will, or for letters of administration where there is none. The office handles the schedule of assets, sureties where required, and all correspondence with the court registry through to extraction of the grant. The office explains at the outset which route applies to a family's circumstances and what the practical difference means for them.
Typically five to eleven months, with the waiting periods clearly separated from active work in every update.

Service 02
Contested Estate & Family Provision Matters
Advice and representation where the validity of a will is questioned, where a beneficiary has been left out, or where family members disagree about how an estate should be dealt with. The office sets out early what the evidence is likely to support and where a negotiated arrangement would serve a family better than a contested hearing.
Includes preparation of pleadings and attendance at case management. Duration varies and is reviewed with the client every two months.

Service 03
Estate Position Review
A single appointment reviewing what a family holds, what documents exist and what steps are open to them, followed by a short written summary. Suitable for families who are unsure whether anything needs to be done at all, and for beneficiaries who want to understand their position before speaking with other relatives.
The summary is written so it can be shared with the family without further explanation. A good first step before committing to a fuller engagement.
